Up for bid are seeds of the Taylor’s Hardy Windmill Palm. This is a beautiful hardy palm tree that can reach heights of 5 to 20+ feet, depending on climate conditions. It is a moderate grower, and this is evergreen. This very hardy palm is about the best known of all hardy palms, although this exceptionally hardy variety is a little less known in cultivation. It is hardy to at least USDA zone 6a, and has taken to take temperatures down to -10F. These particular seeds were collected from a tree that has survived for numerous years in a zone 6b garden, so they should hold good cold hardiness. These plants would make excellent additions to your hardy exotic plant collection, or just make a unique statement in your yard.
