Persicaria Kawagoeanum, also known commercially as Persicaria sp. 'Red', Polygonum sp. 'Kawagoneum', and mistakenly as Persicaria sp. 'Sao Paulo', is a narrow-leaved, fast-growing knotweed native to Asia. Its precise species affiliation remains uncertain. Many knotweed species thrive both in and around water bodies, often in nutrient-rich, muddy soils. Underwater, Persicaria sp. 'Kawagoeanum' displays stunning orange-red to pink hues under good lighting. The leaves, resembling willow leaves, typically reach 8 to 12 cm in length and 0.6 to 1 cm in width. In its terrestrial form, the leaves are more green.
